Privacy Policy
Our website and form platform. This site runs on Framer, which hosts the site and processes submissions from our contact form before they reach us.
Other service providers. We use outside vendors to run the firm — email, mobile phone and fax service, document storage, bankruptcy petition and case management software, credit report providers, and payment processing. These vendors access your information only to perform services for us and are obligated to protect it.
To handle your case, at your direction. When we prepare and file a bankruptcy case for you, we provide information to the bankruptcy court, the United States Trustee, the case trustee, credit counseling and debtor education providers, and creditors, as the Bankruptcy Code and Rules require. Some filed information becomes part of the public court record.
Within the firm. Our attorneys, case managers, and staff at our Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Provo offices access your information as needed to work on your matter.
When the law requires it. We may disclose information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when otherwise required by law — subject to our obligation to assert applicable privileges and protections on your behalf.
Analytics and advertising providers. As described in the section above.
Inquiries that do not become cases are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain our conflict-of-interest records. Client files are retained for the period required by our professional, legal, and recordkeeping obligations, which may be several years after a case closes. Website logs, form submissions held on the Framer platform, and analytics data are retained according to [our platform's and analytics provider's standard retention periods].
You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email grady@utahbk.com, call or text (801) 388-0007, or write to us at the address below, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep certain information to meet our legal, ethical, and recordkeeping obligations — including information already filed with the bankruptcy court, which we cannot remove — and we will tell you when that is the case.
To stop receiving text messages from us, reply STOP or tell us by any of the methods above.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
This site links to outside resources, including federal and state government pages and downloadable materials. We do not control those websites, we are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
